Real Weddings – Arielle and Andrew

December 31, 2018

I am overjoyed to be sharing Arielle and Andrew’s wedding today. They are such a special couple and planning their wedding was absolutely wonderful. Arielle and Andrew lived in California throughout the entire planning process.  Arielle was in school full-time and therefore, we had to be creative in our planning meetings together. It was filled with many Skype calls, emails galore, inspiration lookbooks, and lots of texting. We had so much fun and through it all, we established a trust and friendship that allowed for their wedding day to be seamless and absolutely gorgeous. They were a picture-perfect bride and groom, all smiles and laughter, celebrating with their closest friends and family.

Ahhh…I smile as I go through their wedding album because together we designed a soft, romantic, joyous ceremony and reception filled with lavender aroma and mouth watering cookie favors that were almost too pretty to eat (but don’t worry, that didn’t stop people from eating them…. myself included!)

My all time favorite moment of their wedding was when their fabulous photographer wanted to get some shots by the river. Well, the gate to the river was locked, so the groomsmen picked Arielle up and lifted her gracefully over the fence. This happened during the cocktail hour so everyone cheered and applauded as the group successfully carried her over the fence.

Oh baby! We have ourselves a little valentine. Bab Oh baby! We have ourselves a little valentine. Baby Chashley arriving in Aug 2021!
I miss weddings. I miss all the people celebrating I miss weddings. I miss all the people celebrating love. But what amazes me are ALL the amazing brides out there smiling through the stress of postponing, pivoting, and reshaping their wedding to make it happen. It may be slightly different than the original plan, but it is just as good

Celebrating two years in our home this week. Time Celebrating two years in our home this week. Time flies when you are a new home owner with constant projects 🤪 When we built our home we really wanted it to be a safe space. A warm place that our friends and family can come over and feel so at home that they stay for hours. Being stuck at home this year has showed us that it isn’t necessarily what your house looks like or all the unfinished projects, but rather the people that make your house a home.
I love when couples share fun details about themse I love when couples share fun details about themselves on cocktail napkins. It is such a creative way to add another layer of detailing for your guests to enjoy. And we can’t forget the “please don’t take my drink I’m dancing” coasters to place on top of your drink when you want to hit the dance floor. This ensures your drink will still be there when you get back 💫
The ultimate girl squad. Still swooning over these The ultimate girl squad. Still swooning over these gorgeous black velvet dresses. And of course, the bride Kristin, stunning from head to toe. Nothing beats having your closest friends by your side on the biggest day of your life.
The transformation. Swipe to see where we ended to The transformation. Swipe to see where we ended to how it started. Turning a sports court into a wedding reception was so much fun. It took a team of many from lighting to rentals to heaters to tables and chairs to bathrooms and cutting trees down...All the little things that play a big part in the success of an event. I love that I constantly am being taught new ways to think about different event factors. For example, testing the power to make sure it is enough to power and entire outdoor kitchen. Thanks @mangia_catering Measuring tree branches to make sure they aren’t too low so it won’t damage trucks delivering rentals. Backup heaters in case some don’t work. Every event comes with a different list of elements to think through. And go figure when I think I’ve thought of everything something new presents it self. 📸 @emilystarpoole
I feels like Christmas when I receive an email wit I feels like Christmas when I receive an email with a client’s wedding photos... Especially when I go back multiple years with this special client. Karel was the MOH in a past client’s wedding and told me many times that when she gets engaged she will be hiring me to design and plan her wedding. As a business owner, there isn’t a bigger compliment than this. Fast forward to when she got engaged and called me right away. My excitement was through the roof. An added bonus was my past client was also her MOH! Mini reunion for us all. It was an absolutely privilege to share in this special wedding. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again “if you hire me we will become friends” . All my love to Karel and Chris . More photos coming soon!

Cocktail hour with the ultimate view. I love when Cocktail hour with the ultimate view. I love when our cocktail hour space gives a teaser of what the reception space will be like. To create a space that is welcoming, fun, aesthetically pleasing and sets the tone for what the evening will hold. 📸 @rebekahwestoverphotography
